Life Petals for Children’s Cancer
This program was established in November 2009 and it is specialized in helping children with cancer, either through hospitalization or monthly Chemotherapy and other treatments thereafter.
Ajialouna Organization chose the Flower and its Petals to represent the new fund program to support children with cancer diseases.
Our program is similar to the flower which is a symbol of life that needs tender and care to flourish, grow and blossom.
The Story
Upon the critical cases that were admitted to the Health Department of Ajialouna which was mostly of children, Ajialouna decided to support and assist children with hardship cases and socioeconomic conditions by covering a percentage of the expenses of operations and medicines.
Accordingly, a decision was made to create a new fund called “The Life Petals Fund” to support Cancer surgery and treatment for children.
The Life petals Fund was established two years ago and was able to help:
- 17 children in covering part of the cost of their surgeries
- 75 children in covering part of the chemotherapy treatment
- 6 children in covering the X-rays
- 121 children in covering the monthly medical treatment
All took place at Hariri University Hospital, Makassed Hospital, Hotel Dieu and American University Medical Center.
How to take good care of the flower?
This program was established in November 2009 and it is specialized in helping children with cancer, either through hospitalization or monthly Chemotherapy and other treatments thereafter.
Ajialouna Association created an idea of the "Piggy Bank" titled "Save Coins, Save Lives" starting July 2011, which will be distributed to different institutions for the collection of customer’s contributions to cover the monthly medical expenses.
493 Piggy Banks have been distributed to homes, Pharmacies, Restaurants, Saloons, Libraries and Shopping Malls. Ajialouna seeks to expand this campaign up to 2,000 piggy Banks.
Ajialouna is currently preparing a wide-ranging campaign under the title "Life Petals Fund" in private Lebanese schools in this Academic year to more than 10,000 students and to collect a large amount of donations in order to help more children with cancer.
Ajialouna will organize several fundraising activities to support the "Life Petals Fund" during this year. (as "Avant Premiere Film" for kids)
Your Contribution in Watering the Flower of Life
For those who wish to water the flower of life to save the life of a child suffering from cancerous disease:
